The Prince & The Pauper Restaurant
Celebrating 51 years!
As we prepare to close this chapter at 24 Elm Street, we are creating a memory book in honor of the legacy of The Prince & The Pauper. Please read more here.
Updated February 25th, 2026:
Dear friends and loyal customers,
We want to update our wonderful guests that the building our restaurant occupies has recently been sold. Our lease at 24 Elm Street expires this spring and will not be renewed. We wanted to share this news with honesty, respect, and gratitude. While the building has been sold, we want to make sure the community knows that The Prince & The Pauper, as a business, remains under the same ownership.
Now, we are giving ourselves time to breathe, reflect, and thoughtfully consider the possibilities ahead - for our team, our families, and for the legacy of this beloved restaurant. We are not making any long-term decisions yet. Our name, our story, and our history matter deeply to us, and we want to move forward with care, not urgency.
Our team remains dedicated to offering the warm hospitality, consistency, and memorable experiences you’ve always found here.
Thank you for your loyalty, your trust, your memories, and your support through every season of this journey. We will keep you updated as we navigate this transition with the same heart and respect you’ve always shown us.
With deep gratitude,
Liz and The Prince & The Pauper team
Update February 25th, 2026:
After thoughtful reflection, we've decided that Saturday, March 14th, 2026, will be our final day of service at 24 Elm Street.
We will be closed for a private event on Friday, March 13th - otherwise, our business hours remain the same: Tuesday through Saturday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Our time in this space has meant so much to us; we are incredibly proud of what has been built within these walls - the celebrations, the quiet dinners, the friendships, and the extraordinary team who made each evening feel seamless.
While our time in this location is coming to a close, The Prince & The Pauper remains under the same ownership. We will be keeping our name, phone number, email, and website active, so please stay connected as we take the time to thoughtfully consider what the future may hold.
For now, we invite you to join us in these final weeks to share a meal, raise a glass, and celebrate all that this place has meant to our community.
We are delighted to welcome you for dinner in our charming, historic restaurant, located in the center of picturesque Woodstock Village. Please review the latest updates to our operations here, before making your reservation.
